MrVega212: It is a good place, but it only has an emergency exit in front which could be a trap in case of fire or other eventuality, the number of people is not regulated nor is the person checked at the entrance. In addition, he only has a sanitary battery and a urinal for so many people who enter.

Ryan Bibler: The place was pretty run down and the food was average. They did have a number of TVs and I was able to watch the Team USA soccer match against Panama.
TREE 662: Good pub with restaurant quality food. Good service as well with reasonable prices. Ate here a few times in my two weeks in San Jose. Burgers and sandwiches are great and the wings are as big as turkey legs!

Rocky: Had 1/2 hour to kill since Atlantic train station ticket window open at 3pm. Got a tall beer and the pollo en salsa plate. Delicious, place is pretty packed with locals and tourist, good vibe overall. Prices are really cheap too. $6 for everything with a tip. La Pura Vida!

Marta Rodenas: The dive bar of La Cali. Expect cheap national beer, limited drink options (no wine), dirty floors, to be charged by the drink (no tabs) but with friendly but no frills staff. Probably my favorite thing about this bar is that there’s people of all sorts all hanging out at the same spot. If you’re looking for a dive bar in a good area to go out in San José, this is your spot.

Jeff Barrett: I stopped by this place Sept. 2018. Actually it was Costa Rica Independence day......Very welcoming to tourists, locals and expats. Cheap beer, good prices, kinda of a local dive bar vibe, but felt safe and welcomed. Will Return!!

Nathan Yagi-Stanton: We came in for St. Patrick’s Day and even though the place was absolutely packed they were still extremely efficient at serving everyone and keeping the place clean! We ordered some chips for a snack with our beers and they were somehow able to find us in the thick crowd and served us hot, filling potato wedges with a delicious curry ketchup. We saw a number of burgers come out of the kitchen that looked incredible. Will have to come back and try one!

Today I went with my girlfriend and we both were really disappointed since the fries with chiken that used to be great were really awful and expensive, the drinks smaller and more expensive, even the pizza, which used to be in my opinion one of the best in the country, is definitely not the same...
Sukh Vairea: Bartender was very rude. Maybe he should get a job where he does not need to interact with humans. Had to walk out of this place. By far the poorest service in San Jose. Try Ozzys around the corner - much better vibe and friendly staff.

David Harper: We were walking around today and happened across this place. We decided to stop in for a snack and a drink. We were very pleased with the place. It was casual and friendly with a nice selection of food and daily specials. The service was prompt and friendly. We will go back and try having a meal here sometime, but for now I am impressed. We had the special which was a seafood soup with rice and it was very tasty, filled with fresh seafood and very reasonable.
E Q: Good no frills bar to have a few cold ones with friends. Bocas are good and the waitress never leaves you waiting.

MnM C: British inspired pub with Latin flavour - great rock music classics. Friendly bar service ! Was our first night landing to Costa Rica on honeymoon . Bartender celebrated with offering us 2 shots of Costa Rican spirit. Amazing fish tacos and local snacks in addition to pub classics good for jet lag ! Amazing cocktails - try the variations of vodka mules - in particular the Watermelon mule . We will come again for sure .
Alberto Ballestero: If your party is not completely accounted for when entering the bar, employees will nag and interrupt your conversation until you either return the seats (that your friends will need) or leave the premises. Very poor service quality in my honest opinion.
