Noguchi Asian Food: what do users think?
Monir A
Monir A: Brilliant Asian food in San Jose. It was so nice i went back next day for lunch. Last ones out and first ones in! The peruano ceviche was my favourite and also the salmon poke bowl. Thank you to the very nice waitress who also spoke great English too !
Erick Gerstner
Erick Gerstner: I’m not sure exactly what happened here. This place used to have decent sushi, but these rolls were all rice with no substance. A few of the bites were decidedly fishy and the edamame was so overcooked that we couldn’t eat it at all (the picture doesn’t do justice just to how bad it was). I ordered delivery once before and it was bad, but figured it must have been an off day for the restaurant. It wasn’t, this place has gone WAY downhill. Maybe they replaced the chef or downgraded their produce due to covid, but this was some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Automercado’s prepackaged sushi would likely top this.
Michael Zant
Michael Zant: Absolutely amazing! Very delicious food (Pokebowl/ Raman), very friendly service and kindly changed the meat dishes into vegan dishes. Very fresh food too. Highly recommended! Thank you for the great lunch!
Orion Huxley
Orion Huxley: This restaurant has potential. I have visited only once. I might not return, and this is a painful statement because I like the atmosphere and the personnel. I was able to try the ramen, sushi and sashimi. Nothing was outstanding. In my opinion, the food serves the purpose to end hunger in a very healthy way. No "umami" as a Japanese would say! My review is based on my comparison made by experiencing the same dishes I ate in Japan and in cities like San Francisco, Seattle and New York City. (Cities that have abundant supply of produce, meats and very fresh fish (wild caught) and with deeply experienced chefs from Asian countries). In the defense of this restaurant, the food is truly I believe Peruvian-japanese fushion, and o never have experienced it before. I did read the reviews before going to the restaurant, and believe that the great reviews are based on lack of comparison with high quality previous experiences. About the dishes: Ramen (pork) very greasy, never have experienced this. Fair. Lots of seaweed which is good for my taste. Sushi: significant amount of roll with cream cheese, maybe this is a pitfall. The rolls are big, and it seems that quantity rules over quality. Sashimi: salmon seems to be farm raised and lacks the full flavor (it is very difficult in Costa Rica to get appropriate salmon for sashimi or other types of sashimi useful fish). Customer service: excellent; Hygiene and cleanliness: excellent; Ambiance: relaxed and casual; Prices: fair. I rated with three stars because it is a healthy option when in need to eat. If I rated the restaurant as a asian cuisine experience, I would rate with only one star.
Kyle Meck
Kyle Meck: Enjoyed this place. Would recommend ✅
Joshua Rodriguez
Joshua Rodriguez: Good sushi and friendly service.
Martin Rendl
Martin Rendl: Pretty delicious sushi, great deserts and pleasant waitress with pretty good English too!
Keith Fail
Keith Fail: Good sea weed salad, play miso soup. Good sashimi and sushi. Temporal batter was a little too heavy for our taste, though the shrimp was good and so the ginger sauce.

Fuji: what do users think?
Margarita R
Margarita R: One of the absolute best healthy meal we have had in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Currently staying at this beautiful hotel and decided to have something to eat. Upon arrival the we were greeted by the restaurant staff. The tables are nicely labeled sanitized. The menu has plenty options for every nutritional needs. I had the teriyaki limitó and my best friend had the teriyaki salmon. The meal came with a bowl of soup, rice and vegetables. The chef also sent over a sample of something delicious. The both meals were delicious and nice portions sizes. Extremely pleased with the entire dining experience. I highly recommend. The hours were 12-3pm reopening at 6:30 to 9? I do believe. Planning on returning for dinner.
Rebeca Garro
Rebeca Garro: Best Japanese food in Costa Rica. The Teppanyaki is amazing, food is great and they have an excellent customer service. I totally recommend this for couples, families or friends groups.
J Bou
J Bou: Sushi was very good! I often try sushi traveling and am often disappointed but the quality of the fish was unexpectedly great. We also ordered cooked items which were also good. Price was a little more than I expected but for the quality, it was definitely justified. (It is located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel)
Julieta Catalina Villalba Arias
Julieta Catalina Villalba Arias: Food was good. Sushi had a lot of rice and waitress didn’t know very well the menu but they were very kind. At the end they gave us coconut cookie it was delicious. The green tea matcha was very good. The edamames also I like it. Suggestion sushi with tofu
Vanessa Núñez
Vanessa Núñez: We celebrated my moms bday here and it was awesome. Food delish the tepanyaki show was really cool. Our chef Eduardo was great. Price is fair, I paid 24000 ivai for a salmon tenderloin and a soda. This includes the salad, rice, protein, veggies and dessert. The only complaint we had was 1. They dont charge in $ only colones, which we thought odd considering the restaurant is located within a hotel and 2. They have a japanese style room witt tatami and it was not offered as an optikn for dinner which was a same. But mother than that it was lovely.
Mary Campbell
Mary Campbell: We had hibachi here and it was so fun! Food was excellent and our cook was very personable and made sure we were all happy with everything too! They have sushi here as well.
Jeffrey Chicklas
Jeffrey Chicklas: Sat at the sushi bar. The fish had to be swimming in the ocean earlier that day. Very fresh. Authentic for sure. Absolutely delicious.
Riley Byrnes
Riley Byrnes: Presentation was everything at this place. The quality of the sushi and the cuts were terrible. The salmon was flavorless, octopus rubbery and overall bland when it came to sushi. The habachi grill looked good from across the room but the only thing that tasted good was the miso soup.
Jack Bottoms
Jack Bottoms: Quite good . I am always a bit afraid of hotel restaurants, but have dined here several times over the past ten years and it is very good ! Solid service , good food , pleasant surroundings !

San Jose Patriarca
San Jose Patriarca: Ramen soup is amazing 🤤!! The place is simple but the service and food are totally worth it! The chicken donburi and the sushi are also really delicious.
Matthew Brooks
Matthew Brooks: By far, the best sushi in Costa Rica. Located in La Sabana Sur, San Jose, they have the most authentic sushi you are use to if you are a sushi connoisseur like me. Personally, I do not like the typical lots of rice no sushi that most restaurants make in Costa Rica. Tāmura is super authentic, and Masa and Eva are always with a smile. The sushi is little rice, lots of fish and you can taste the quality and love in every bite. During the pandemic, I was lucky to see they were open on Facebook and I started placing my order for pick up and have been doing it every week for the past few months and nothing makes me happier during these quarantine times. I have made this a Saturday ritual and hope you will do the same.
Ben Shelley
Ben Shelley: The quality of the fish, service, and atmosphere blew us away. Amazing spot to eat sushi with very talented chefs / staff and amazing fish. Must stop if you want high quality sushi in San Jose. Will be coming back soon!
Martin Rendl
Martin Rendl: Very delicious place serving mainly sushi and a few fried rice dishes, will surely come back again. Update: Been there few more times since the first review. Sushi has steady level of quality, fresh and tasty. Delicious miso soup and ramen as well. Pretty much every time there seems to be a Japanese person visiting the place, so I maintain the review of 5 stars for sure. Me gusta!
Billy Ruiz
Billy Ruiz: Very good food, the place is clean and great service.
Owen M

Vivian Chavarria R
Vivian Chavarria R: This place has delicious food. We order the lunch box and it had protein, solid sushi rolls in Cantonese rice. The parking spot for this place is very spacious and the staff are very gentle. It is very difficult to find good customer service in Costa Rica especially in restaurants. In this place they make sure dad you are taking care of. I give it five stars because of the price the food in the parking lot.
Javier Alvarado
Javier Alvarado: It’s very ok sushi place, the service and staff is very attentive and helpful. I feel the price is a little above average… but which place in CR in economical nowadays, so three dollar signs for this place $$$.The Salmon soup it’s really good 🍲.

Healthy Living Spirit: Wonderful sushi selection and they even had live music playing
Tony Huang
Tony Huang: Over price sushi if you are a tourist. I seriously doubt in San Jose the price like NYC is justice. Not to mention they cannot even get the sushi rice right. I have tasted sushi world wide and this place is the worst I ever have. No fresh fish, miso soup was salty, terrible cutting of everything, from fish to tofu. Sauces are as terrible as it can be. There presentation are and the decorations are nice but terriable service. If you are fancy for sushi, avoid this one.
Batsheva Mats
Batsheva Mats: it is our favorite sushi 🍣 🍱 restaurant in escazu san jose. it is clean, the food is always fresh, the service is always great. every time we come visit in san jose, we eat here. the prices is very affordable comparing to the restaurants around there.

Rubén Darío
Rubén Darío: Excellent!! Very good attention, clean and comfortable place! The prices are within the average! Recommended!
Alexa Muñoz
Alexa Muñoz: Terrible customer service. They left us waiting for more than an hour for our food, being the only customers in the place. You ask for something on the menu and they gave me a totally different roll than the one that came in the description, with other ingredients and without those that were said on the menu. And even so they did not intend to correct the error although they told us that they were going to bring us the correct roll. They left us waiting for the change... Although if the flavor was rich in the end, everything is lost due to the attention of the staff.
Mauricio Arias
Mauricio Arias: Very good Gyosias... they left us pending the Foccacia and the pizza

Rebecca Pettit
Rebecca Pettit: Great sashimi, the price for 2 people was wonderful and the portions generous. The choices for that plate are good, but perhaps cheange to allow some selection by the guest. We would have gone for more tuna and salmon and less of some of the other choices. Overall, a good experience.
Manuel Enrique Quiros Ramirez
Manuel Enrique Quiros Ramirez: Good food, fresh. Service is not the best because they are under staffFood: 4/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Il Tubo
Il Tubo: Soup is one third of a cup and sushi pieces are so small that I could hardly handle them, and nearly no fish, just rice and vegs. Price sooo high for nothing. BIG NO !
Leonardo Lehning
Leonardo Lehning: This evening, we took 2 fish soups and a sushi plate. The sushi was very good but the soups were too expensive for this kind of quality. First we were satisfied with everything. But when we got the receipt we were surprised because the price was much higher than we expected. 25% surchange?! For the bad service? Are you kidding. In my opinion you have to inform the guests for big surchanges like this. So, all in all, watch out if you go to Matsuri.
David Koran
David Koran: They used imitation fish for Sushi, ordered 42 piece and received 30 pieces with only five pieces were real fish. The price of this bundle was not cheap, I expect better for that kind of money. Sad they think foriegners are not going to notice getting ripped off.
