Atsui Ramen: what do users think?

Gunhild Litwin: Graciously, the owner of Atsui Raman managed to squeeze us in between two bookings for one hour, and it was well worth first waiting a little and then eating, not lingering: I had the day’s special ramen with smoked, rare beef and added shiitake. Absolutely spectacular!!! My partner’s Tonkatsu ramen paled in comparison, even though they were perfectly fine, and mention must go to the marinated eggs, mmmmh, so lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite authentically Japanese in that they are small, and very beautifully and sparsely decorated. Turnover is quick, the service is very personable and truly friendly, the owner/waitress speaks very good English and saved us from making a fool of us in Spanish. Great GnT, as well! Gracias, la comida era muy rica, la disfrutamos mucho.

Zoe Pa: This cute, chill and nice little restaurant is very good and hidden from excessive tourists. I had a vegetarian noodle bowl 😋 and the waffles in form of fish dessert with an ice cream... delicioso ! The portion was just right for me 👌 Vegetarian option 💚 Me encanto mucho! I felt like in asia, the service was good and friendly. Would recommend for couples, alone or family!

Jenia Cheng: Tonkotsu ramen’s broth was flavorful. Portion size was ideal. We ordered takoyaki as an appetizer and they were freshly made, very tasty and with a nice texture. Service was great, they even made a last minute reservation for us. Looking forward to visiting this restaurant again.

Cathy W: Wow this was one of the best ramens I’ve had and I’ve been to many in the world! Really caught us by surprise to find a place like this in San Jose. The broth was the right amount of umami and the meat was just amazing. Cocktails were also very tasty!

Sergio Salas: After a long wait to eat good ramen, finally. It was splendid! Great ingredients, great taste, great service. Had tonkotsu ramen with no extra toppings, it fulfilled by expectations. Vegetarian options: There are great vegetarian options, even for ramen.

Dala Dala: Do not recommend if you’re foreigner.Menu says $3500 for gyoza and charged me $5000. Very much not tourist friendly.

Vu Dang: Decent ramen considering we are in Costa Rica. They give a lot of meat for the bowls, options for sauces like sate on the side. I like that the menu has Takoyakis, Tsukemen, Taiyos, I like the authentic spirit. However, it’s hard to match the authentic broth flavors and noodle quality/texture of a good bowl of ramen from Japan. You will feel underwhelmed if you had a good bowl of ramen before. KOLOLO RAMEN: what do users think?

Gabo: Best ramen in CR… and better than most of the recommended / classic spots in NYC, LA, SF, and South FL. Kimchis are great. Sake selection is small but fine / well-chosen. Pear infusion is delicious… and the wings are good. Ask for them with the least amount of sweetness possible.

Jordan R: No idea how this place has such a high rating. I got their beef noodles togo and was dismayed to find that it had only 4 small pieces of beef. Grossest part was that halfway through the meal I found a bug at the bottom of the food! 🤢 pics included. Shame on them

Kathy Hua: Yum! The service was attentive, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted great. Watch out for the spicy ramen, it’s really hot! If you like a more mild spice, I would recommend trying another menu item. The soy garlic chicken wings were wonderfully seasoned.

Pablo Garcia: Delicious food. One of my favorites to have Ramen. I do suggest you make a reservation since it is usually full, specially during weekends. The service is also great. Parking: Underground

Luis Dominguez: The Korean wings are great if you like spice ordered with the spice sauce. the Ramen broth was really tasty. The owners came to our table to explain the menu, good service. Ask for a cold sake, I’m going to get it to have it at home.

Federico Rivera: Yesterday night I went with some friends to this recommended place. People talked about that the chef is Korean and he offered a simple menu of main Korean dishes BUT the spicy pork ramen was a must-to-try. So I went for it and my expectations over exceeded. Nice tangy mushrooms, flavory broth, two kinds of pork in it and the noodles at the right point.

HIKARI Ramen - Poke - Sushi: what do users think?

victor Cartagena: Amazing Ramen! I had the vegetarian ramen and my partner the beef ramen and we were quite satisfied with the taste! Best ramen we’ve tried in San Jose. Next time keen to try their sushiRecommended dishes Ramen Soup …More

Mohit Sharma: Everything other than Ramen is horrible. Updating my review after trying several times. I do not like giving low rating and I hope this reaches to management. Everything was delicious during our previous visits; especially the starters, and ramen (garlic ramen). They can definitely improve on the egg they have on ramen. Service is quite slow but we understand it because the place gets full. May not visit again because the noodles, tempura, gyosas are all bland horrible food.

David Cordon: Good service and good food. We did a weekend trip and want to try something different. We recommend it!

TLC 2: Service was good, and the food was great! Huge portions! 3 of us ordered our own ramen with a single order of shrimp tempura and a sushi combination for 2. We left with enough for lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this for anyone in the area looking for good ramen or sushi.

Maria Marta Alfaro Chamberlain: Vegetarian 🌱 Ramen - comfort food doesn’t get any better 💚 Great Value Generous portions 😋

Aaron: Incredible portions, outstanding quality and very creative dishes. The prices are great as well.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Gattoadventure: OMG the ramen soup, was one of the most delicious and flavor that I have ever tasted, the staff was really friendly and special, keep it up, just go to this place and enjoy the best ramen of Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Natalia Gómez: Great food, big portions, fast service and the staff is very friendly

Josué Zúñiga: Love the quality of the ingredients. The fusion of Costa Rican cuisine and Japanese flavors is exceptional.

Vivian X: Clean place, free service fee, pork ramen is recommended!

Jannik Nolden: Ramen was delicious, better than at any other restaurant in the city!

Vu Dang: Excellent price to volume ratio. Good and filling. Not the most authentic (dont expect an ajitsuke egg in your ramen), but good enough to pass by as a filling meal. I would say it’s an excellent place for what it’s meant to be, a fast place to get an affordable asian inspired meal. Clean and spacious restaurant. Niall Cassidy: Great Ramen, would recommend 🍜👌

Sergio Salas: Sushi & ramen. Big rations, quality is good. The ramen is was good.

Elí mf: Excellent Asian food.

Ramen-Ya! Curridabat: what do users think?

daniel schemel: Very mediocre Ramen Spot, reheated eggs, tough pork meat, flavorless broth, but the service was definitely terrible. There was no one in the restaurant, and I had to go and get the waiter anytime I needed something. Definitely not a come back place. Sometimes business owners don’t realize that a restaurant is not only about the food, but also about the experience. Too sad!

Mariana Acuña Vega: A great place to start with Japanese cuisine, their specialty is ramen, but they also sell gyozas, donburi and bao bites. The ramen has plenty of variations, spicy and vegetarian included. My favorite one is the Shoyu ramen, paired with some pork bao bites. Food is well served both in place and for delivery, it always arrives warm and no spills on sight. I mostly order from home, their ramen is comforting and unpretentious, perfect for any day when you need a pick me up. I think this place is great for beginners because it allows for a lot customization in flavor and spiciness; i do not recommend it for kids though. $ - Well priced dishes 🍜 🍚🥢🥣 #foodie #costarica🇨🇷 #placestovisit #foodreview #costarica #review #turismo #comida #foodie #foodiegram #ramen #japanese #asian #bao

Rodrigo Paris: Great food, really one of the best ramen in CR. Cozzy place but a bit pricey. Around 6.000 each bowl but you will end up satisfied. The picture was when I was about half done with the bowl

Walter Sanchez: Good but they can make it better!

Steven: Delicious Ramen, very fast service, clean place and accesible prices! Would totally recommend to any Ramen loverWill definitely visit again!

Andres Larios: Small place but really cozy, the ramen 🍜 was good! $$$

Julio Napoles: excellent ramen for the price, 5500 colones plus 10% service fee.

Juan Rafael Baldini Rojas: Service was pretty average, because we arrived at the reception desk and no one was there to receive us. When someone came they just stare at us like waiting anything from our side. We had to ask for a table to get one, instead of doing it proactively. The food was overpriced for what it is. In look it was very (ramen and gyōzas) appetizing, but in taste it was really insipid. At the end, they took like 15 minutes to bring the bill to pay. Definitely this is a one time experience to me, because I will not return.

Casa ramen: what do users think?

Wendy E. Centeno (Wen): The ramen is disgusting, it tasted like dirty water. We left all the food almost untouched because there was nothing digestible. In addition, they have the music so loud that, in addition to the bad experience with the food, we left with a migraine.

Mariangel “Mari” Vargas: •Customer service: Fair to Good (It was empty) • Waiting time for food: Terrible (It takes too long) •Taste of dishes: From Bad to regular. (There are better restaurants) •Price: High compared to the quality of the dishes. In short, I do not recommend it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Skarmory el chido: The customer service is lousy and the food is of a very low quality, I expected more for the prices they manage, I definitely do not recommend it

Ramenezco: what do users think?

Nelson Diaz: Best Ramen I’ve ever had! The vegetable gayoza and chocolate mochi were just ok.

Evan Michael: What a fantastic surprise! We were driving from La Fortuna to Los Quetzales national park, and we looked for something interesting and delicious to eat for lunch. We found a blog post by a self-desribed foodie who made Ramenezco sound like a good choice. Wow. Just … wow. This was some of the best ramen I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. We had both the Ramen de la panzada and the Ramen de especias. Very different, and equally wonderful. The ossobuco croquettes were a fantastic start to the meal, and the Delirio Mágico cocktail was sweet but well balanced. An amazing meal!

Gabo: We just paid more than 13,000 colones per bowl of ramen with gluten-free noodles. This would be OK if it were the best ramen in SJ, but it is not, nor are the servings / meat portions as generous as at other spots. For more authentic (and delicious) ramen, look to other places, in Escazú (hint: Plaza Tempo) and San Jose. The restaurant does have a nice vibe. Service is friendly and quick enough. Beverages / cocktails are good.

Nicole Chaves: Amazing! The staff was very friendly, willing to explain everything about their cuisine. The taste, presentation and price were perfect for the food you are getting. They also explained us that you can join a reward program if you become a regular customer. I will 100% recommend this place if you are looking for Ramen

Péter Csizmadia: I took take away. I have to say for an Asian restaurant in Costa Rica is not bad at all. The service is super attentive, nice vibe from the staff.

Mado Ramen and Sushi: what do users think?

David Krasa: This was un-eatable and I would recommend that you definitely don’t order any food here. We had four Donburi bowls, of which one didn’t correspond to our order. The fish had a very strange, and definitely not fresh, texture. The “fresh” tuna was kind of lukewarm, with a unpleasant mouthfeel and taste. The gyoza we ordered as starters weren’t boiled or shallow-fried as they should be, but deep-fried, which made them extremely dry and tough, and again essentially un-eatable. Very poor quality.

Jolanka K: I want to give it a zero but that’s not possible so one star from me. I ordered a donburi bowl and I got a completely different bowl. I ordered it with miso sauce but didn’t get any. The gyozas were really hard to eat. I have braces and they don’t hurt but while eating the gyozas they really did. Not recommendable.

Kathinka Baist: Very disappointing! Fish wasn’t fresh and Gyoza un-eatable as totally overcooked/overfried. Mado is definitely not worth a penny! Hope you find better options in Lolita’s garden or elsewhere in San Jose.

ChrisNZ: An extremely long wait and the ramen soup was basically soya sauce broth. Sorry 😬The sushi looks great though with good presentation.

Maria Jose Brenes: BEST Vegab bowls

Eduardohg Hernández: excellent attention 👍

XRamen Mall San Pedro: what do users think?

Hoomer Gao: A new Ramen Restaurant in San José, but Chinese/Fusion Style. Handpulled noodles, rice bowls (Bulgogi beef!), selfmade Gyozas (try their fusion style like Gyoza del Diablo!)

Jorvin Nava: The gyosas are very good for being from a mall, and I tried the curry ramen, honestly incredible, better than many restaurants in the Escalante neighborhood, the pasta feels fresh and the flavor is incredible, definitely recommended.

Alana Montoya: The food is delicious, the presentation is a 10 and I would definitely go back to try absolutely everything, I loved the restaurant, I recommend it 100% 👌🏼💯

Michelle Carrillo: This is the first time I have tried gyosas and I was surprised at how delicious they are. The Curry Ramen with Crispy Chicken was a delight in each of its parts and the attention was wonderful, we were very full. Making the combo ramen came out super cheap and comes with three options, which is great.

Enmanuel Soto Castro: X Ramen, mandatory stop. The homemade Ramen recipe that cannot be missing in your diet. The portion is very good and the flavor unmatched.

Oswaldo Garcia: Incredible, I ordered the ramen curry with chicken crispy and delicious. I want to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended.

Noguchi Asian Food: what do users think?

Monir A: Brilliant Asian food in San Jose. It was so nice i went back next day for lunch. Last ones out and first ones in! The peruano ceviche was my favourite and also the salmon poke bowl. Thank you to the very nice waitress who also spoke great English too !

Erick Gerstner: I’m not sure exactly what happened here. This place used to have decent sushi, but these rolls were all rice with no substance. A few of the bites were decidedly fishy and the edamame was so overcooked that we couldn’t eat it at all (the picture doesn’t do justice just to how bad it was). I ordered delivery once before and it was bad, but figured it must have been an off day for the restaurant. It wasn’t, this place has gone WAY downhill. Maybe they replaced the chef or downgraded their produce due to covid, but this was some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Automercado’s prepackaged sushi would likely top this.

Michael Zant: Absolutely amazing! Very delicious food (Pokebowl/ Raman), very friendly service and kindly changed the meat dishes into vegan dishes. Very fresh food too. Highly recommended! Thank you for the great lunch!

Orion Huxley: This restaurant has potential. I have visited only once. I might not return, and this is a painful statement because I like the atmosphere and the personnel. I was able to try the ramen, sushi and sashimi. Nothing was outstanding. In my opinion, the food serves the purpose to end hunger in a very healthy way. No "umami" as a Japanese would say! My review is based on my comparison made by experiencing the same dishes I ate in Japan and in cities like San Francisco, Seattle and New York City. (Cities that have abundant supply of produce, meats and very fresh fish (wild caught) and with deeply experienced chefs from Asian countries). In the defense of this restaurant, the food is truly I believe Peruvian-japanese fushion, and o never have experienced it before. I did read the reviews before going to the restaurant, and believe that the great reviews are based on lack of comparison with high quality previous experiences. About the dishes: Ramen (pork) very greasy, never have experienced this. Fair. Lots of seaweed which is good for my taste. Sushi: significant amount of roll with cream cheese, maybe this is a pitfall. The rolls are big, and it seems that quantity rules over quality. Sashimi: salmon seems to be farm raised and lacks the full flavor (it is very difficult in Costa Rica to get appropriate salmon for sashimi or other types of sashimi useful fish). Customer service: excellent; Hygiene and cleanliness: excellent; Ambiance: relaxed and casual; Prices: fair. I rated with three stars because it is a healthy option when in need to eat. If I rated the restaurant as a asian cuisine experience, I would rate with only one star.

Kyle Meck: Enjoyed this place. Would recommend ✅

Joshua Rodriguez: Good sushi and friendly service.

Martin Rendl: Pretty delicious sushi, great deserts and pleasant waitress with pretty good English too!

Keith Fail: Good sea weed salad, play miso soup. Good sashimi and sushi. Temporal batter was a little too heavy for our taste, though the shrimp was good and so the ginger sauce.

Ramen Saki: what do users think?

German Rodríguez: Simple, fresh and good taste. The ramen noodles are home made and the broth warm your soul

Fernanda Ruiz: BEST RAMEN IN COSTA RICA ALERT! No doubts. Everything tastes homemade, so nurturing and satisfying. We always order Tonkotsu Ramen, which is a delicious pork broth cooked for 13 hours and those perfect noodles. The gyozas are delicious as well as the hot citrus tea and the Japanese cheesecake. The place is nice for couples and groups. Recently they added a tv where they play Studio Gibhli movies ♥️ The service is amazing, everyone is so friendly here. I am glad Ramen Saki exists, this is the best ramen ever

Luis Diego Jiménez: Delicious ramen!! If u really like the pork taste ask for tonkotsu, otherwise, better ask for shoyu with chicken

Litzy Xu: Best ramen in Costa Rica, the broth is delicious and the ramen has the right consistency

John B: The ramen was damn good! Broth had a lot of flavor. Order shoyu if you want more flavor and a bit saltier. If not, tonkotsu it is then! The noodles had very good texture also!

Nicole Gamboa: This is one of the best ramen I ever had in my life. It was amazing and the service was good too :)

Arelys Fonseca: Menu available in QBR. Very clean. Food was great!

Fabián Ramos Carrillo: Very nice and clean place. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was delicious, the pork meat was great. My advise would be to ask for the garlic spicy sauce and an extra of white rice. The Citron with honey hot tea is a good idea if you want to taste something kind of sweet in between the Ramen

Marcela Villalobos: Great ramen, lovely matcha brulee

Ichiraku sushi: what do users think?

Marcela Johnson: Prices are really good and for the price sushi is ok. What I liked is that they give you soy sauce and eel- no extra charge- , also they have real veggie option (more than carrots and lettuce inside the roll, not like this hideous place use to serve that, and it broke). Couple of downfalls: they have too many rolls with cream cheese as ingredients (you can ask to remove it) and prep time, I believe it was high for only 20 pieces. FYI*** Picture shows only half of what was ordered.

Matthew Bailey: Gonna say the cook has no clue what he/she is doing. The roll pieces are so large that putting into your mouth isn’t pleasant. Way too much rice. Presentation was cheesy. Really can’t recommend this place.

Jorge Delgado: Excellent taste. Very good prices!

caro marcenaro: The service takes a long, long time. The taste and consistency of the sushi rice requires care: it was very dense and did not taste good, plus there was a mysterious smell from the seaweed. The place has potential, but the service was also kind of awkward.. there was loud music and we had to wait too long to get lunch :(

Eric Bradstreet: Good food, fun atmosphere, and kind people!

Daniel Cabada: Quite a varied menu! The place is very cozy and the food delicious. They have different types of ramen, although I ordered some delicious noodles 🍜 from the house! Go and enjoy!

Jaime Rojas Núñez: He had already gone to the restaurant in San José. Now that I have it close I will go more often. The best ramen without a doubt

Leo Rojas: Super recommended, the ramen 🍜 was the best, there is a variety of ramen and other foods.

miguel angel tenorio ballestero: The food is not bad, only that when we asked for an electronic invoice they told us that they did not have it, only the normal one is my only complaint about the place

JP Valde: The prices are somewhat high, however, the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the food are very good. The only thing I recommend is to go at least an hour before they close because and for less time than that, almost only main dishes will be able to enjoy but overall very good food

Rebeca Vindas: The ramen is delicious. 100% recommended

Pelis y más: I work in that place, from experience I know that the cleanliness is constant, the freshness of the products that are used are prepared daily...

Brandon Rodríguez: Very delicious ramen from this place, quiet atmosphere, and the attention is 10/10. Too recommended.

Paula Cruz: The best ramen in Costa Rica ❤️ the wonderful vegan options and the space, both in Chepe and Heredia, super cute.

Miso Express: what do users think?

Steven Steel: Very good selection of shops here. Food, books, makeup, clothes and shoes, electronics etc. Has an arcade area for kids and usually one other entertainment event going on. Also a small enclosure in the food area where toddlers can chill at. Comes with a very clean cinema that features most movies either dubbed or subbed. Plenty of expensive (but delicious) cinema food over there. Well maintained, although you might sometimes find some of the toilets closed (usually the ones for men).

Edgar Araujo: Awesome place. Pretty close from San Jose Downtown

Marco Munoz: Big mall, you can find many hair salons and cellphone stores, the food court has many options and as with the rest of the mall the movie theaters are undergoing big remodeling. Once the remodeling is done, my appreciation may increase.

eninman03: This mall had a recently renovated outside look but the inside is about the same. The mall has 2 floors of food court on one side of the building, many beauty shops, specialty shops, clothing stores and some knick knack stores. There is a movie theater at the back of building which tends to get quite full on weekends and doong the ticket line those nights can be a bit of a pain. Though there are better movie theaters, this one gets the job done. The prices of the shops vary greatly but some are worth the visit, takes a bit of effort to find a good one that has ehat you want. Parking is not free in the garage and you can risk parking as well out side around the mall on the street where someone might watch it for you. Also there are fenced in parking lots on the area. The mall is decent but in my opinion not great, fancier and cleaner malls exist in costa rica but this one definately gets big crowds in it, especially during events.

Mike B.: Very cheap place in all aspects of it. Many stores stay closed until the middle of the day. There is no official working time as a mall. So stores open whenever they feel like it.

Irish Creme: This is a relatively upscale mall with several stores, movieplex and two stories of food court. Usa Name brand stores, i.e. aeropostale, and "local" brands. Even a tattoist/piercing studio. Good space to spend a rainy day.
