Sebas Garcia: Great place! Loved the decoration, and how the menu and the place is divided to represent different cultures! The staff was awesome, really helpful and nice. The menu has a lot of options, several of which are vegetarian, including main dishes and appetizers. The food was great, and the prices are affordable. We tried some wine and margaritas and they were pretty good ( they gave us the wine as a courtesy because of the dishes we ordered). There is no parking space directly in front of the place, but there is a cheap public parking a couple buildings away. Overall had a great experience, loved the place and would absolutely recommend it!
B Davis: We have no idea how this restaurant has the reviews it does. We traveled all over Costa Rica for 2 weeks and this was the worst meal we had the entire time. We also traveled extensively for months through Southeast Asia and had a lot of authentic food - this was worse than we could have cooked at home. We ordered Tin Jo Special, Korean Chicken and Orange Chicken. All of the sauces were gelatinous and worse than you can buy from a jar in a supermarket in the US. The chicken dishes were barely fried, just soft, mushy breading covered in disgusting sauce. The kitchen didn’t even bother to sprinkle the orange chicken with sesame seeds. Seems to us like the restaurant is lazy, working off their good reviews they received years ago but doing nothing to upkeep them. Even the rice was poorly cooked, clumpy and cold. The drinks were good. The sangria was delicious and so was the tamarind soda. Also the decor was nice, and rooms with decor from different countries was creative. But as far as the food goes, trying to recreate dishes from so many countries well, can be difficult and this restaurant can’t do it. If you come to this area of town and are looking for a great, authentic place to eat, the Argentine place a street away is mind blowing by comparison.
Bryan Astua: I’m just amazed not only by the food quality but also about the whole experience. This is a multicultural restaurant, menu and ambiance. The host Allen is an extremely attentive person and gave us a guided tour through the restaurant. I’m for sure going to recommend this restaurant to my friends and family

A C: Really good food, but today they messed up badly on service. They sent food to one of 5 people first. Then took over an hour to bring the appetizers that should have arrived first. We talked to them about 4 times to check on the food and it still took forever. The first person had finished her food and was ordering dessert by the time our arrived. Very disappointed.

Carlos Leon: The place is nice, it has been remodeled several times. The food is good, the main dishes are large portions and the dim sum is one of the best in town. The service is decent (at least is fast), but the value is not good. The dim sum dishes are smaller than other places at the same price.

Nauman Mysorewala: Everything we ordered was good except the Hot & Sour soup. it was way too sour. They dumped the vinegar bottle of seems like. the sizes for soup are huge, so are for other dishes. order conservatively.
Anny: When it comes to Chinese food, I always prefer home cooked. The only time I go to one is when invited to social events. I feel Chinese restaurants don’t often use quality ingredients and the veggies and meat are always drenched in oil, msg, salt and soy sauce, mostly oil. And lots of it. I never feel great after. The only reason we went to this one is because it’s New Year’s Day and nothing else was open. You can definitely count on Chinese businesses to open regardless of holidays. We ordered a basic shrimp stir fry rice and another veggie dish with beef. Simple. Can’t go wrong. I’d say the food was pretty authentic to North American style Chinese food. Lots of flavor, but too salty. I don’t feel great right now so think I’ll go chug a litre of water to cleanse my gut.
Ruotao Huang: Dim sums are not great here. They seriously butchered multiple core dim sum dishes: chicken with sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves wraps a large piece of white chicken meat inside, the vegetables (Jielan) have the tough skins still on, pork buns have no soup inside, and so on. If you have had good dim sums before and thus have certain expectations, this is definitely not a place for you.
Jethro Cao: My girlfriend and I dined here for lunch twice: dim sum first time, which was quite good and authentic enough; second time, we ordered some dishes, which tbh were mediocre in taste. The pricing is fair as well. Overall we had a great experience going here, and would return again given the opportunity.
Mauricio Solano: Worst experience ever. The waiters only attend big group of people and ignore everybody else. I went there 3 or 4 times before but right now I would think to eat elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants where the customer is appreciated.
Beckett Prado: The food was pretty good, a bit expensive. For the price the shrimp dish needed more flavor but the meat dishes were prepared well.

Manfred Marshall: Cuchara Oriental is one of my favorite Chinese-American restaurants in Costa Rica. Their signature dishes include delicious, authentic Dim Sum. The butterfly pork ribs with honey glaze and cracked pepper is a culinary triumph. Service is prompt and attentive. The dining hall can comfortably seat large parties.

Bonana Boi: Not gonna lie, this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been in the world. You’re hungry? Great. They have everything you need, you will eat a lot, you will be full but you’ll keep eating and it’s not easy to stop! Because the portions are HUUUGE, and it tastes AMAZING!EVERYTHING is amazing, the smell, the crunchiness, the sauces, the meat! You eat and you can’t stop, your stomach is full and you about to blow up but the food is just too good 😂 Also the prices are surprisingly low for this high quality and THAT amount of servings. WORTH VISITING!
RL MRLS: Went to have lunch here after a long time, to my pleasure I still felt the same welcoming atmosphere and the staff friendliness. The food was as good as it has always been, every single plate brought to the table was delicious from the fried wonton appetizer to the vegetable fried rice, the bistec encebollado, the arroz tostado con camarones and the one with chicken. We all really enjoyed eating here once more. Recommended.

Federico Rivera: This is a very traditional Chinese restaurant in San Jose. You can see a line of tradition from year to year just by taking a look at their menu with more than 100 plates and combinations. All dishes are generous and meant to be shared with others as the Chinese style. If your new to the restaurant, you should try the Arroz Frito De La Casa. I also tried the Cantonese beef, the spicy pork and the chicken with broccoli. They were all delicious. Prices are fair. Restaurant is old fashioned, family owned, traditional and classical. Will come back again.

Sonny James Nadela: The authenticity of the chinese cuisines in this restaurant is near perfect. The place is also big and the setup is similar to popular chinese restaurants in most Chinatowns around the world.
D C: Ran into this restaurant by accident exploring the city. I am from Seattle and food wise was comparable to Chinese food in Seattle. Good value. Tasty food. Waiting staff friendly. Clean and very spacious. If you are craving Chinese food, this is a great option!

Clent Jones: Authentic, homemade, delicious cuisine! Reservations needed if you are looking to go at a peak time. Was lucky enough to visit when it was slow and definitely enjoyed every dish. Price point is excellent and food quality does not reflect as ingredients are local and fresh. Highly recommend, but beware that it is an indoor environment and they take all the right precautions to make diners and staff as safe as possible (hence the need for a reservation as to not over occupy the limited seating space).

j w: Large dining hall upstairs from the Asian market. Dim sum has a separate menu than the regular Chinese food. Service was extremely slow during our lunch visit as there was only two servers the entire time. They took dine in and take out orders, setup and cleaned tables, as well as cashier duties. Kudos to those servers. But it was not an enjoyable dining experience as everything was delayed. The shrimp and pork dumplings was good. Would not order the fried wonton again. Steamed Bbq pork bun was pretty good.
Ale M. Ramírez: Veeeery good chinesse restaurant. One of the few that has real chinesse cuisine in San José. They also have a chinesse market next door. For some dishes, you need to call early so they can save them for you.
Marco Delgado: Ordered a #64 with mix vegetables and the result was was a dish full of chinesse veggies. They brought the plate 1st time 1 hour after I ordered without oyster sauce. Had to return it, wait a few more minutes and get a tasteless dish. Party of 3 was dissatisfied. Seems they are having poblems with the kitchen or general staff.
Rosa Villalobos: Karaoke rooms are dirty, the song selection is poor, and the bathroom did not work. You are also expected to go downstairs, order and pay when you want something. There is no service to the room for groups, and they will not split the bill. The food was quite bad. I had a mongolian beef that was just fried beef smothered in ketchup. My friend askedfor dumplings and they looked like they had been cooked days ago. Finally, the cashier and waiter had a horrible attitude and rolled their eyes when you came down to ask for a beer or food.

FElix Leer: This is a place to visit regularly, food is great and they deliver as well. There are lots of dishes to choose from or you can even ask then to prepare something that is not in the menu. Vegetarian options: There are lota of dishes you can make vegeterian even if they were originally with meat.

David Zeng: Restaurant serving Chinese BBQ. I ordered the bbq pork over rice. The portions are generous and came with a winter melon and pork soup. I found the pork to be slightly salty. Owners spoke Mandarin/Canto and Spanish. Would recommend for authentic Chinese in San Jose Barrio Chino.
Veda Wada: i ordered the peking duck plate with rice and veggies. the duck arrived within minutes, however was room temperature. would recommend this restaurant to invest in a display case that keeps the duck warm, or to heat it up before serving it to the clients. the veggies were cooked without any salt or spices.

Héctor Fernández: The most Delicious Chinese food in Tibas. I recommend the shrimp filled pechuga and the siu mai. I go there for dinner every time I can and, even though I always order the same, it tastes just delicious.

Danielle Kniedler: Was attracted to this restaurant by its lively vibe on a recent evening. The ambiance, service, and food were top notch! We each had a noodle soup: mixed vegetable (pictured) and pork and dumplings. Nana took care of us and told us about some of the art on their gallery walls. The experience was completely delightful and surprising. I highly recommend Holiday to travelers looking for a delicious meal!
Vasiliy Torres: Very cozy atmosphere with attractive and unusual design. The food and the service were spectacular. Freshly squeezed juices and good wine selection. We loved every dish we ordered. The noodles, the soup,, the shrimp prepared by the chief in front of you, everything was great. The cucumber salad super simple but yet amazing and different. Be aware of pretty large portions since everything is so yummy you may eat more than you wanted.

John Sendrey: They had good daily specials and the food quality was good. I loved the decor, especially the fish pond. Bathrooms were clean. My only real criticism is that sauces and toothpick dispensers are possible modes of spread of COVID, but the use of those us up to the discretion of each patron. We paid about 20,000 colones for our party of four including drinks, appetizer, and dessert.

Junior Junior: The place is clean and pleasant, it smells good and the many take great care to maintain it. The attention of the saloneras is expeditious and cordial; one writes down the order and another takes the food to your table, dry chop suey and Cantonese rice; French fries and chicken wontons: ALL VERY TASTY; WE ARE SATISFIED. I invite you to visit it.
